In Florac, in the Cévennes, the story began in 1892. At just seventeen years old, Célestin Tuffery created an indigo-dyed work garment, unknowingly giving birth to what would become the French jean. Since then, four generations of master tailors have carried on this unique craftsmanship, recognised with the prestigious Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company) label.
Today, fourth-generation master tailor Julien Tuffery and his wife Myriam continue this remarkable legacy. Since 2014, they have restored the house's historic name and spirit, designing contemporary collections while reissuing the iconic pieces that made the workshop renowned.
