Every year in France, 90% of the wool produced is discarded. That observation gave birth to Le Tapis de Laine : an artisan yoga mat, made entirely in France, from the wool of pastoral farms on the Larzac plateau, birthplace of AOP Roquefort.
The wool is processed at the Filature Colbert in Camarès, Aveyron, a mill created in 2023 to give the sector a new future. The mats are then branded with a hot iron, echoing the ancestral practices of plateau farmers. Logistics are handled by Boost, an employment integration company based in Nîmes . The result? An 8mm-thick mat, non-slip on both sides, heat-regulating, hypoallergenic and self-cleaning, just like the wool it is made from. Comfortable on the joints, light to carry and naturally fragrant.
