In the heart of Laguiole, inside Philippe Starck's iconic building whose eighteen-metre blade reaches towards the sky , Forge de Laguiole has preserved one of France's most celebrated crafts since 1987.Born from the shared vision of local officials, artisans and Aubrac enthusiasts, the forge revived a knife-making tradition dating back to 1828 that had almost disappeared after the First World War.

Damascus steel blades, brass bolsters, horn, fine wood or leather handles, each knife is unique.The forge holds the protected geographical indication "Couteau de Laguiole", guaranteeing production within its historic region.
