Born in Mende in 1981 , Benoît Colomb has spent over twenty years developing a photographic practice rooted in the observation of the land and the living world. Based in the Lozère, he draws his inspiration from a preserved natural environment, shifting light, changing weather, the discreet presence of wildlife , for a contemplative approach that places the long view and patient waiting at its core.

His work, broadcast on several nation chanels such France 5's Échappées Belles, has reached well beyond local audiences to touch a national public . In 2025, he released his first documentary feature film, Lozère entre ciel et terre, a contemplative work blending landscapes and wildlife, screened in several cinemas and welcomed by over 10,000 viewers . Lozère Sauvage offers lovers of the territory galleries of over 700 photographs , Fine Art prints, books, posters, calendars and photography workshops in the field, across the Aubrac, Margeride, Mont Lozère and Causse Méjean.
